Grading

In a student –centered model of education, students are expected to be the center and active participants in the learning process. Each classroom period is designed so that it enables the students to understand and apply specific learning objectives which require the use of higher order thinking skills towards the enhancement of their problem-solving skills. However, this goal cannot be fully achieved without a well-informed process of assessing both teaching and learning that validates students’ participation and creativity. Therefore, the teachers will apply an assessment scheme that considers all features of students’ effort and places different percentage weights on both learning and teaching assessment tools as follows:
