Alexandria House of English American School ensures all students will receive high quality instruction in an aligned and coherent system while addressing their social and emotional needs in a safe and engaging environment.

 

Accreditation:

AdvancED is the unified organization of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and school improvement (NCA CASI) the northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and schools council on Accreditation and school improvement (SACS CASI), creating the world's largest education community, serving 30,000 schools and districts across the United States and around the world.

The American School at Alexandria House of English was approved for initial accreditation for the first time in 2007. Pursuant to AdvancED Accreditation policies and procedures, the school hosted an onsite external review in 2012 and was approved for continuing accreditation, with an expiration date of June 30, 2017. The AdvancED Accreditation Commission, a national panel, reviews and takes action on all NCA CASI accreditation recommendations.

Graduation Requirements: Students must earn a minimum of 24 credits to graduate (complete with a grade of “D” or better). Credits must include 4 years of English, 3 years of Science, 4 years of Math, 3 years of social sciences, 2 years of physical education, 2 years of foreign language/visual – performing arts, in addition to approved electives as well as passing Ministry of education subjects ( Arabic, Religion, Social Studies )

Grade point average is weighted on a scale 1-4 and includes all courses taken in grades 9 – 12.

Regular Bell Schedule

To facilitate prompt arrival, students should be on campus, by 7:55 a.m.

School starts at 8:00 am until 2:35 pm (From Sunday to Wednesday) 

8:00 am untill 2:00 pm on Thursday
